We partner with farmers who prioritize soil health, water conservation, and biodiversity. Sustainable farming practices protect the land for future generations while producing exceptional coffee.

  • Community Support

Beyond coffee, we invest in the communities we work with—supporting education, healthcare, and economic development initiatives that strengthen the regions where our coffee grows.

Stories From Origin

The Highlands of Ethiopia
In the birthplace of coffee, our partners cultivate heirloom varieties on misty mountainsides where coffee plants grow beneath native shade trees. The altitude, volcanic soil, and seasonal rains create coffees of remarkable complexity—floral, fruited, and alive with the character of place.

Rwanda's Volcanic Terraces
On the slopes of Rwanda's volcanic mountains, farming families have rebuilt their communities and their coffee traditions with remarkable resilience. The rich soil and careful cultivation practices yield coffees of bright acidity and distinctive fruit-forward character.

Kenya's Equatorial Bounty
From the foothills of Mount Kenya, our partners harvest coffees that capture the essence of East African terroir—vibrant, complex, and deeply expressive of their origin.

Each origin tells a story of place, people, and craft. When you choose Roho, you're choosing to be part of that story.

Our Relationships

At Roho, we believe that great coffee begins with great relationships. We work directly with farming families and cooperatives across Africa's most distinguished coffee-growing regions—from the highlands of Ethiopia to the volcanic soils of Rwanda, from the mountains of Kenya to the terraced farms of Burundi.

These aren't transactional partnerships. We invest in long-term relationships built on transparency, fair compensation, and genuine partnership. We visit our farmers regularly, understand their challenges and aspirations, and work together to support sustainable practices that protect both the land and the livelihoods of the communities we work with.

Direct relationships mean we know the story behind every bag of coffee—the specific microclimates, the careful harvesting practices, the generations of knowledge that go into each crop. This connection is what allows us to offer coffees of exceptional quality and character, while ensuring that the people who grow them are valued and supported.
